To play in dirt
To perch on my Mother’s lap
To sit in awe at my first movie
To go on a hike carrying a paper bag lunch
To ice skate on a frozen pond
To roller skate on uneven sidewalks
To sleep in a tent at camp
To carry my towel wrapped bathing suit - -
- - >To swim in the city pool
To ask, “Want any Halloweeners?”
To believe in Santa Claus & the Easter Bunny
To find a reward under my pillow for a lost tooth
To find that perfect flat stone - -
- - >To pay hopscotch
To walk with empty tin cans on my shoes
To climb a tree
To have icicles stuck to my mittens
To ride my bicycle on nearly empty streets
To be “It”
To not be “It” and hide behind a bush
To be on my first roller coaster ride with my Dad
To sit on the curb at a parade
To run in the rain - -
-- > To stomp in a puddle
To share a bedroom with my sister
To pretend that my brother isn’t there
To sometimes love getting scared
To hide a love comic under my bed pillow
To skip across the creek, rock to rock - -
- - > To not get my feet wet
To be told by a flower that I love butter
To know the answer to - “He loves me, he loves me not”
To not step on a crack and break my Mother’s back
To find an empty “Lucky Strike” pack - -
- ->To say, “Lucky, lucky, one two three - nobody stepped on you but me”
To believe - to trust
To know that all people are good
To suppose that life was endless
ALL I ASK - JUST ONE MORE TIME!
